Questions about the consult

What happens in the 60-minute consult?

We spend one hour on a video call looking at the stack you are running right now. We focus on where your hosting bill, deploys, or data model are getting fragile. You leave with a short, ordered list of what to do next, so you know which problem to tackle first and which ones can wait.

How much does the consult cost?

The consult is a paid hour, separate from the free intro call. You pay a flat fee when you book, with no follow-up contract and no obligation to hire me for anything else. If you later want help with the work on your list, we can talk about contract work, a fixed-price audit, or a rescue at that point.

Which tech stacks do you cover?

The consult works best for React, Next.js, Vercel, Neon, Clerk, and Stripe, or a close cousin of that stack. That covers most modern web apps and SaaS products built by small teams. If you run something different and want to know whether an hour with me is worth it, ask through the contact form first.

What should I prepare before the call?

Bring the one or two problems that worry you most, like a rising bill, slow or flaky deploys, or a database that is getting hard to change. A repo link, a rough architecture sketch, or a recent invoice helps if you have them. None of it is required, but it lets us spend the hour on answers.

How do I book a time?

Use the booking panel on this page to pick a time and pay. Times are shown in Central time. If online booking is not available when you visit, use the contact form to ask for a consult, and I will reply with open times. The contact form is the only way to reach me.

What if I need more help after the hour?

The list you leave with can turn into a project. Depending on what we find, that could be contract DevOps and platform work, a fixed-price audit, or a rescue for an app built with AI tools. You decide. There is no pressure to continue, and the list is yours to use however you like.

Contract work, a fixed-price audit, or a rescue picks up where the consult leaves off.
